SPC Callahn Moss Talcott

SPC Callahn Moss Talcott, 27, of Sherman, passed away on March 17, 2017 in Sherman. A memorial service will be held at East Sherman Baptist Church located at 910 E. King St. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10AM with Reverend Rob Shepherd officiating. A light lunch will be provided immediately after service.
Callahn was born in Sherman, Texas to John and Helen Talcott on April 18, 1989. He attended Sherman High School and Grayson County College. He served as an Air Assault Combat Infantryman for the U.S Army, 101st Airborne Division for 5 years, serving two tours in Afghanistan. He enjoyed art, music, spending time with friends, and his smile could light up a room. He was awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, 2 Army Achievement Medals, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
Callahn is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Coupland Talcott Huff.
Callahn is survived and loved by his fiancé, Teresa Elaine Castilaw of Sherman; daughter, Helen Isabella Talcott of Sherman; parents, John and Karen Talcott of Sherman, and Bo Huff of Whitesboro; sister, Megan Talcott, of Sherman; brother, Ian Talcott of Sherman, Grandparents, Sandra Corbitt of Sherman, and Patricia Coupland of Sydney, Australia; Brothers and Sisters of the 101st Airborne Division; and countless relatives and friends.
