William Dave Wilson, Jr.'s Obituary

William Dave Wilson, "Chilly Willie", "Big Willie" or "Dave Jr." as he was affectionately known, was the eldest son born to Alma Bracey & William Wilson, Sr. on January 12, 1948, in Harlem, New York. "Dave Jr.", was raised by his maternal grandmother, Doretha Bracey, and loving Aunt Shirley Bracey in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Dave, Jr was educated in the Portsmouth Public School system. He later moved to Philadelphia where he learned painting as a trade.

In his early twenties, William visited Sherman, Texas and he met a beautiful Texas native Marian Harvey. Together the two created a bundle of joy and named her Joy. Marian and "David" spent just over 13 years together and built a wonderful life in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Dave worked a variety of jobs and he excelled as a painter Lead Janitor for K-Mart stores across the metroplex, and he eventually ventured out on his own and developed his own lawn care business, "Dave's Lawn Service".

Dave loved music, his family, his friends, and he had an obsession with Google. Dave could be found at any given time asking Google to play one of his favorite songs as he snapped his fingers and grooved to the beat. He also loved watching television, WWE Smackdown, Ozark, and Queen of the South were some of his favorites. Dave loved to eat, he loved big portions of good down home soul food, from pig feet, roast, chitterlings, fried fish, collard greens, and yams… he'd post them on his Facebook stories daily. "Chilly Willie", as he was affectionately called, lived a wonderful life and he seized every moment to create comical memories for those he loved, and his spirit will truly be missed.

William Dave Wilson, Jr. 74, passed away peacefully on the morning of June 2, 2022, after a brief  illness.
