In Loving Memory of Ada Lucille Albright McCarley
January 3rd, 1928- April 2nd, 2026
Ada Lucille Albright was born January 3rd, 1928, and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 2nd, 2026. She was beloved by many family and friends.
She was raised by Bill and Polly Ann Albright, in Albany, OK, and also attended Bokchito schools for some time. She had 2 brothers, and 3 sisters (Joe, Dub, “Kitty” (Katerine Nell), “Tot”, (Alyene), and Billie.
She was very well liked, and friendly, and she was also a “tomboy”, as she would describe herself! She played basketball, climbed trees, and her brothers were known to trick her into climbing a tree and getting on top of their barn, and then leaving her there for a little while…she would laugh when she told that story!
She loved her family so very much, and would always recount her life to people. Ada was very loveable, giving, forgiving, and nurturing. She also loved to laugh and joke, and enjoyed playing a variety of cards, and dominoes, and taking family trips and adventures!
Ada was 98 when she went to heaven. She lived a long, and very memorable life! She married W.J. McCarley in 1945, at the County Courthouse in Paris, TX.
They had one son, Dickie Gene McCarley, who was born on June 3rd, 1947, and was a tremendous joy to she and W.J.
Later in life, she would go on to raise her one and only granddaughter, Leanne McCarley, from the age of 13 months. She and W.J. legally adopted Leanne eventually, and they became “Mama and Papa”.
Ada’s family remained close all of her life, until their deaths. She is survived by her “daughter”/granddaughter, Leanne Rene McCarley Smith, of Blossom, TX, and her grand children, Taylor Green Rich, and husband lance and great grandchild, Isadora Rich; of Shreveport, Louisiana, and her grandson, Travis Green; of Ft. Worth, TX.
She was preceded in death, by her husband W. J. McCarley, her son Dickie Gene McCarley, her parents, Polly Ann and Bill Albright, and sisters, Katherine Nell Albright Phillips “Kitty”, Alyene Albright Dodds “Tot”, Billie Albright Perry, and their beloved spouses. She was also preceded in death by brothers Joe Albright, and Dub Albright, and their beloved spouses a well.
She outlived most of her family, saw to their care at many a bedside, hospital bed and beyond. She was selfless, loved the Lord with all of her heart, and her family meant more to her than anything on this earth.
She will be truly missed. Heaven has gained and called home one of its most beautiful souls.
Rest in Peace, Ada Lucille McCarley.
