Mrs. Young, beloved mother and devoted grandmother, went home to join her Lord Saturday night, April 14, 2007, at Texoma Healthcare in Sherman.

Alda Mae was born on April 27, 1915, in Pilot Grove, Texas, the fifth of nine children born to Rully Jesse and Mary Ellen Cato Bush. She married Claude Young on September 5, 1942, in Whitewright, Texas. To that marriage was born their only child, Martha Kaye Young Sutherland.

Alda Mae was a life-long Baptist and was deeply involved with Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Sherman since 1963, serving as a Sunday School teacher in the children's department, director of the Adult Training Union Class and Church Clerk for many years. She faithfully attended every church service at Victory until her health began to fail a few years ago. She was required to bring her delicious

homemade chicken and dumplings and cobblers to church functions.

In 1960, she started babysitting and through the years kept fifteen children, including her granddaughter and great grandsons. She kept in touch with many of the children through the years and was known by all of them and to her grand and great-grandchildren as ?Memaw.? In April, 1988, she went to work as the receptionist for the Richardson Law Firm in Sherman where she worked until she retired on December 31, 1994, at the age of 79 to care for her great-grandson, Janson Wall.

She is survived by her daughter, Martha Kaye Young Sutherland of Sherman and her longtime companion, John Wayne Ramsey of Bells; her only grandchild, Tara Jill Wall and husband, Jason Wall of Sherman, and her two great-grandsons, Tanner Jay Wall and Janson Edward Wall of Sherman; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Eudell ?John? Bush and wife, Gwen of Denison, and sister-in-law, Betty Bush of Grand Junction, Colorado. Alda Mae also leaves behind a large and loving group of

nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, her beloved church family and many

friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rully Jesse and Mary Ellen Cato Bush, four brothers, Travis Bush, Vaden Bush, Lyndol Bush and J. D. Bush and three sisters, Ruby Grammer, Velma Mackey and Ona Barrett, and son-in-law, Tommy Jay Sutherland.

Pallbearers will be: Phil Carr, Fred Hudson, Ed Richardson, Randy Shirley, Ronald Schulz, Jason Wall and Winston Wester.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Victory Ladies Auxiliary, 2949 E. Lamar, Sherman, Texas 75090.
