Amanda Dawn
Summers
March 12, 1986 – April 20, 2026
Amanda Dawn Summers (Sullivan) from Sherman, passed from this life on April 20, 2026. She was 40 years old. Amanda was sweet, intelligent, caring, and a creative soul with many talents. Whether it was award-winning artwork, pottery, or crochet, everything she created was beautiful. By far, the light of her life is her children, Carter and Jayda, and they were her happy place. Amanda had varied interests in all forms. From beekeeping to nails to music of all kinds, especially the band Tool and sublime, and all things weird and wonderful from nature. She had a kind soul and would help anyone who needed it. She graduated from Sherman High School and attended Grayson County College. Her mother, Donette, who just passed in January, was a kindred spirit, and Amanda said she was her soul mate. She had an extremely close bond with and missed her Granny Sullivan every day and spoke of her often.
Amanda was born on March 12, 1986, to David and Donette Sullivan (Wilson). She was preceded in death by her mother, Donette Sullivan; grandmother, Arneda Sullivan; grandfathers, Robert Sullivan and Don Wilson; and uncle, Gary Sullivan.
She is survived by her children, Carter Summers and Jayda Summers, father, David Sullivan, and sister Lindsey Garza with husband Dylan and nephew Jaxxon Garza and niece Harper Garza. Grandmother Charlene Wilson, uncle Ricky Wilson with wife Roxie, aunt, Kathy Masters and husband Tom, aunts Linda Jones and Debbie Sullivan.
Services will be held at Waldo Funeral Home on April 30, 2026, at 10 am. Rev. Brian Taylor of Forest Avenue Baptist Church will officiate.
