Aubrey Henderson, 72, passed Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He passed in the loving presence of his wife and family in Sherman, TX. Aubrey is survived by his loving wife Gayla Henderson of 55 years and their three sons.

Aubrey was born June 27, 1950, in Cleburne, TX to O.M. and Fannie Henderson. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1968. Aubrey and Gayla met at an early age and knew it was love at first sight. They were married on December 11, 1967, in Sherman, TX. The family quickly grew with sons Scotty Henderson born November 21, 1968, Michael Henderson born March 4, 1971, and Donny Henderson born July 15, 1976.

Aubrey began working for the City of Sherman in 1967 and continued his service until retirement on January 28, 2011. He was a dedicated employee for 42 years and upon retirement was the Solid Waste Superintendent. He additionally carried unmatching love and loyalty to his family. Upon his passing, he leaves behind wife, three sons, ten grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation services will be held Monday May 22, 2023, from 6pm to 8pm at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 North Travis Street, Sherman Texas. Graveside services will be held Tuesday May 23, 2023, at 10am at West Hill Cemetery located in Sherman, TX.
