With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Benjamin "Benny" Held, 31, of Sherman Texas.
Born December 11th, 1991, in Hoffman Estates IL, Ben went into our Heavenly Father's arms March 10th, 2023, following a tragic motorcycle accident. He was a caring, loving husband, father, son, uncle and nephew.
After graduating from Andover High in MN, he attended St. Cloud University and served in the Army. A proud member of the Collin County Sheriff's Department for the past 8 years as a Detention Officer, Field Training Officer, and Assistant Team Leader of the Detention Response Team. He loved his brothers and sisters in blue. Ben enjoyed snowboarding, bouldering, exploring new places, "ghost hunting" and recently found a love for motorcycle riding (where he made many friends).
Ben is survived by his loving wife, Angel; son, Christofer; mother and stepdad, Anita and Dave Burris; father and stepmom, Kevin and Jaimie Held; brother and sister-in-law, Jacob and Julie Ann; stepbrother, Nate Burris (Kelly); stepsisters, Ainsley Sherwood (Ken) and Ryleigh McLane (Caleb); stepbrother, Tim Combs (Stephanie) along with many other loving in-laws, friends, and family.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, March 19th from 2:00-5:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Texas.
Funeral service will take place at Real Tree Church in Farmington, MN at 3:00 PM on March 25th, followed by a private burial for immediate family.
