Berta Lee Hart (Bert) Dempsey was born August 3, 1928, in New Boston, TX to R.J. and Shine Hart.

She married the absolute love of her life, Jack Dempsey on October 7, 1946. They began their life together building wonderful memories as he was proudly a member of our United States Air Force for 26 years. Bert was the optimum military wife and mother; always making their "house a home". They eventually settled in Sherman, Texas in 1967 after many wonderful adventures.

God blessed them with one child, a daughter, in January of 1954 during one of their assignments at Perrin Air Force Base.

She was devoted to Jack from the time she was 14 years old until his passing in 2004. She loved her family and many wonderful games of "serious" bridge!

Bert is survived by daughter Janna Parker and husband Dan; grandsons Judd Jones and wife Maddie, Jack Jones and wife Dustie; great grandchildren Karli Jones, Marshall Jones, Honor Jones and Justice Jones all of Lindsay, TX; step granddaughter Priscilla Spencer and husband Paul of Plano, TX; step grandson Ross Parker and wife Beth of Lewisville, TX; step great grandchildren Amanda Spencer of McKinney, TX, Parker Spencer of Plano, TX, Jonathan Parker of Lewisville, TX; special nieces Terry Hart McLelland of Aledo, TX and Donna Golemi of Missouri City, TX.

The public viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 2 ^nd from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 3 ^rd at D.F.W. National Cemetery, Dallas, TX at 1:15 P.M. The online register book can be signed at waldofuneralhome.com.
