Bertha was born to George W. and Lydia Mary (Williams) Hawthorn on April 2, 1939 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2025. She was a wife to Charles and mother to Wayne, Pattie and Michael. Grandmother to Jon, Shane, Lewis and Marisa, and sister to Katherine and Shirley. Bertha also had numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tom, and sisters Mary and Fanny.

When she was younger, she loved to sew, do cross stitch and write poetry. She made teddy bears and gave them away as gifts.

She loved her family, church family and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was the best wife, mom, granny, sister and aunt and she will be greatly missed.

This is not goodbye, this is only until we are together again. We love you.
