Betty A. Frost's Obituary

Betty A. Frost of Sherman, Texas gained her wings April 28, 2021 at the age of 60.  She was born June 2, 1960 to Betty Lee Smith and Walter Robert "Bob" Crockett in McKinney, Texas.

Betty graduated from Sherman High School in Sherman, TX , and went on to begin pursuing her dreams academically at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

She later married Carl E. Frost in Idabel, Ok; to this union one child, Shamika (Kandi) was born.  Betty joined First Baptist Church Westside where the Rev. Ralph White presided as Pastor.  After relocating to Sherman, TX, she became a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Craig Davis currently serves as Pastor.

Years later through a mutual friend she met Charles Lee Hare of Hugo, to this union one child Alexis (Lexi) was born.

Betty's scholastic journey took her to Grayson County College, Collin Community College, and Texas A & M University Commerce where she obtained her Associates, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees leading her to a fulfilling career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Betty Lee Smith, Walter Robert "Bob" Crockett; brothers- Johnny R. Taylor and Walter Windell Crockett; sisters-Linda Sims, Mary L. Thompson, Rosie Roberts, Shirley Taylor, and Anna Margaret Simmons.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Shamika Frost and Alexis Hare; sisters - Judy Moore, Yanna Smith, Jo Carolyn Terry, Tamarah Taylor, Leesa Smith, Starla (Smith) Johnson (Wendell Johnson), and Oralee Crockett; brothers-Cleveland Smith III (Honey), Robert Smith (Ruthie) and a number of loveable nieces and nephews.

A public visitation (come and go) will be Friday, May 7, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the Progressive Baptist Church 1101 E. Houston St. Sherman. Rev. Craig Davis is the Host Pastor and Rev. Charles Wattley will be officiating. Burial will follow in Melissa Cemetery – Melissa, Texas.
