Family Night/ Viewing for Betty Ruth Hunt will be held Friday night from 6-8pm at Waldo Funeral Home, and then funeral services will be held at Waldo Funeral Home Saturday at 11am. Private family burial services will follow at the Garden of Memories in Colbert with Douglas and Daniel Hunt, Daniel Joseph Hunt, Dalton Latham, Nathaniel Kirby, Jessie Thrasher, Zachary and Hunter Arnett, and Tyler Hunt as pallbearers. Betty passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 6 ^th .

Betty was born on June 8 ^th , 1945, in Compton, California to the late William "Bill" Bartholomew, and Myrtle Ruth (Swindell) Bartholomew. She graduated from Colbert High school and worked many years at the Herold Democrat in Sherman, Tx. She was married on June 24 ^th , 1972, to Ronald Lee Hunt, in Sherman Texas, and raised their three children. Betty shall be remembered as a loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to many in North Texas. Betty is survived by her twin sons, Daniel Hunt and wife Susan of Coweta, OK. Douglas Hunt and wife Misty of Princeton, TX. Brother Michael and wife Barbara Bartholomew of Shawnee OK. Nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, plus many more nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by both her parents, one daughter, Amy Hunt Latham, and her Husband Ronnie.
