Betty J. Leal, 91-year-old of Gordonville, TX, passed from this life Saturday, November 30th, 2024 at her home.

She was born June 18th, 1933, in Martindale, TX. She was the daughter of Charlie and Mildred (Gregory) Nesbitt of San Marcos, TX. On July 23, 1977, she married David Leal in San Antonio, TX

She worked as the Unit 4 head charge attendant at the Big Springs State Hospital.She was a chef and loved cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing Keno, knitting, fishing and metal detecting.

Betty is survived by her husband, David Leal of Gordonville, daughter, Nancy (David) White of Bonham, son, Chris Austin of Bonham, daughter, Donna (Gary) Jones of Austin, and grandsons, Brandon Austin and Cody Austin.

She is also survived by nephews, David Tiller, William Tiller, Shane Garza, niece Brenda Tiller, friends, Mary Whitaker and Velma, all of Seguin, TX.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 5th, at Gordonville Cemetery. Rev. Cody Austin will officiate.
