IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Betty
Nash
September 12, 1930 – January 15, 2026
Betty R. Nash was welcomed into the arms of her Savior on January 15, 2026 after a life marked by faith, service, perseverance, and love. Born into humble beginnings in Delight, Arkansas, Betty was one of eleven children and learned early the values of hard work, generosity, and caring for others—values that would shape the course of her life.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Nash; her son, Nathan Nash and many of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Melissa Nash, her two grandsons: Slaton Nash and Spencer Nash and a host of dear friends.
A smart and accomplished businesswoman, Betty built a life defined by diligence and vision. She began her professional career with Texas Instruments, where she developed skills that later supported her entrepreneurial calling. For more than three decades, Betty owned and operated Brides by Betty in Sherman, Texas, a business through which she lovingly dressed generations of brides. Her work was not simply a profession but a ministry—marked by care, encouragement, and a deep joy in serving others during some of life's most meaningful moments.
Despite her professional success, Betty always considered her greatest roles to be those of devoted wife, mother, grandmother and servant of Christ. Her faith was steady and sincere, lived out daily through acts of kindness and service. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas, where she faithfully served until a series of strokes limited her physical ability to do so. Even then, her spirit of service remained strong. She was a cherished member of the Adult II Sunday School class and was deeply loved by her church family.
Betty's life was a testimony to quiet strength, humility, and unwavering faith. She trusted God through every season of her life. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched—as a business owner, mentor, church member, friend, and family matriarch.
The family would like to offer special and heartfelt gratitude to Betty's devoted caregivers: Maria Lopez, Teresa McCain, Patricia Blaze, Jeanne Brown, Ann Coulter, Faye Rice, and Vanessa Ora-A, as well as the entire staff of Home Hospice of Grayson County. Their compassion, professionalism, and loving care were a blessing beyond measure.
Betty will be remembered for her servant's heart, her enduring faith in Christ, and the love she so freely gave. Her life reflected the words of Matthew 25:21: "Well done, good and faithful servant."
