Betty Odum left this earth on February 17, 2024.
She was born January 30, 1930, in Bonham, Texas, the daughter of John and Icy (Dewoody) McCormack. She married Gerald W. Odum, July 3, 1948 in Sherman.
She was a member of Ida Baptist Church.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Gerald Odum and her son Rick Odum,brothers Paul, Glendon, James, Willard, Ray, Tommy McCormick, and sister Doris.
She leaves behind three daughters Debbie Davis, Lory Schulz of Sherman, Kim McLellan (David) of Alabama, grandsons Chad, Craig Davis of Sherman, Shane Shelton (Mary Ann) of San Angelo, Kyle Schulz (Krista) of Abilene and Wesley McLellan of Alabama, Keith McLellan (Jerica) of Alabama, granddaughters Kristen Schulz (Kristi) of Austin, Denisha Shelton of Tennessee, Shannon Bishop (Dan) of Florida, Jennifer Davis (Danny), Cheryl Minch (Jeremy) Colorado.
She is also survived by her great grandchildren Skylar Davis of Texas, Emma, Lily Schulz of Texas, Elliot, Audrey Whitten of Austin Texas, Kevin, Katie McLellan of Alabama, Maisy Talatham (Justin) of Tennessee, Seth Green of Tennessee, Shelton Hicks of Tennessee, Aubrianna Shelton (Adam) of Texas, Abbigail, Isabella Shelton of Texas, and great-great grandson Ashton Shane Clark of Texas.
Visitation will be at Waldo Funeral Home February 20th, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm
The funeral will be on February 21st, 2024, at 2:00 pm with graveside following at Westhill Cemetery. Rev. Brian Taylor of Forest Avenue Baptist Church will officiate.
