Betty Manley Reese

Betty Manley was born on June 1, 1922 in Richmond, MO the daughter of Harry I. Manley and Eula Swift Manley. They moved to Kansas City when she was six months old.

Betty married William H. Reese on December 8, 1943. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2007. She was a devoted homemaker and was dedicated to her husband and children. Betty was committed to her life as the wife of a career Air Force Officer, living and traveling to many places around the world and enjoyed entertaining, traveling, fishing, bowling, cooking, sewing, golf and tending to her many plants. She began volunteering as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, Gray Lady with the Red Cross when living at Clark AFB in the Philippines, Sherman Meals on Wheels and then with Wilson N. Jones Auxiliary for 40 years and over 15,000 hours. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. "Super Seniors" at Grace United Methodist Church was very important and special to her.

She is survived by her three children, Barbara Bridger of Austin, TX, Robert Reese and wife Shelta of Cibolo, TX and Barry Reese and wife Tere of Pottsboro, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Meals on Wheels program or St. Jude's Hospital in Betty's honor.
