Betty Ann Henderson Seidlits passed away peacefully Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the age of 87. A longtime resident of Sherman, TX, Betty graduated from Sherman High School in 1947 and worked at General Telephone Co. in Sherman for 27 years.  She married the love of her life, Curtis Lee Seidlits in Weatherford, TX in 1949 and shared 53 years together until his death in 2002.  They had two children, Deborah Lee Seidlits Worley and Curtis Lee Seidlits, Jr.

A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Betty was well-loved for her compassionate and generous spirit, uncanny ability to read people, and contagious sense of humor. Her favorite pastime was waterskiing and swimming with her family at Lake Texoma.  After retiring in 1980, she and Curtis began renovating and selling numerous properties in Sherman, but they managed to travel extensively, as well.  In their variety of recreational vehicles, they traveled the continental US and also visited Hawaii, Jamaica, Australia, Alaska, England, and Canada.

In 2003, Betty moved to Kerrville, TX to be near her children. After seven years in Kerrville, she moved with them to Horseshoe Bay, TX where she resided until taking up residence at Windchime at the Village in Kingsland, TX.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Lee Seidlits Worley and husband, Bob, of Horseshoe Bay, TX and her son, Curtis Lee Seidlits, Jr. and wife, Melody of Austin, TX; five grandchildren:  Holly Woodrow Sprague of Boulder, CO, Julie Woodrow Purchase of Centennial, CO, Stephanie Seidlits of Valley Glen, CA, Sarah Seidlits Wollitz of Frisco, TX, and Curtis "Lee" Seidlits III of Austin, TX; and seven great grandchildren:  Reid Christopher Sprague, Harper Marie Sprague, Grayson Alexander Purchase, Phoebe Ann Purchase, Emma Lee Wollitz, Ava Lucille Wollitz, and Eliot Patrick Seidlits Sullivan.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Willie Trenton Henderson and Laura Esther Murphy, and seven siblings: Emma Edith Henderson, Minnie Irene Henderson Grimes, Dorothy LaVern Henderson Stamper, Martha Jo Henderson McMillion, Marjorie Henderson Streun, Willard Ruth Henderson Lentz Sanders, and Preston John Henderson.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 N. Travis St., Sherman, TX. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org or Grayson County Hospice at www.homehospice.org .  The family would like to express gratitude for the caring staff and nurses at Windchime in Kingsland, TX and Altus Hospice Care who were such a blessing to Betty and family.
