Betty Jean Wright, 90, of Sherman, TX, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Born on November 23, 1935, in Bonham, Tx, she was the beloved daughter of the late Flournoy and Delia Mae Tacker. She was a devout Christian her entire life and dedicated her life to the Lord and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She retired as a Trust Officer from Bank of Texas in 2000 and was a long-time member of the Parkview Church of Christ.

She is survived by her three children, Debbie Elmore, Diane McMahan, and Mike Wright; her seven grandchildren, Shannon Tews, Brian Smith, Mason Beaver, Maegan Peterson, Nelson Beaver, Chase Wright, and Branson Beaver; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other family members who will miss her dearly.

A service will be held at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 N Travis St, Sherman, TX on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an Alzheimer's Research Foundation of your choice, or Christian Care Communities & Services, 560 Prestige Cir, Allen, TX 75002, in her honor.
