Billie M Bell Cox Durden was born on June 6, 1934, passed away peacefully, November 2, 2023. Born in Ethel, TX and raised on a cotton farm, she married and began her family in Collinsville. She later moved to Sherman where she was the owner and broker of United Realty. She also owned and operated Sherman Taxi.

Billie loved her family and her faith. She always looked forward to family gatherings. She loved to read, to sing, to travel, to shop and dress up and was proud of her Texan accent. She enjoyed participating as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, was always quick to help with decorating for events and was always happy to make floral arrangements. She enjoyed doing ceramics and spent many hours making gifts and teaching others as well.

Billie was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters and survived by her 4 children, Michael Cox of Collinsville, TX, Terry Cox of Collinsville, TX, Tonda Cox Doty of Denison, TX, and Tara Durden Rodriguez of Cypress, TX, 10 granddaughters and 6 grandsons.

Family night will be held at Waldo Funeral Home Monday evening, November 6, from 6-8pm and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 7, at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1900 W Lamberth Rd, Sherman, TX 75092 with burial to follow at Holloway Cemetery 5684 Luella Rd, Sherman, TX.
