Funeral services for Billy Jack Green, age 82, of Denison, TX will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Parkside Baptist Church in Denison, TX. Burial will follow at the Preston Bend Cemetery in Pottsboro, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX.

He passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, TX.

Billy was born on February 21, 1930 in Frankston, TX the son of Albert and Gertrude Benge Green. Billy joined and served in the United States Army. He married Shirley Burnett on October 14, 1960 in Dallas, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley, of Denison, TX, son, Richard Green and wife Melissa, of McKinney, TX, daughter, Elizabeth Standerfer and husband Rusty, of Plano, TX, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters, Bobbye Sue Jones and Evelyn Kaiser both of Mesquite, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Parkside Baptist Church will be providing lunch at 12:00 PM. Following lunch, the family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Standerfer, Marcus Standerfer, Mason Standerfer, Richard Green, Jacob Green and Tim McKenna.
