IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brenda Carlene
Low
November 11, 1940 – September 7, 2024
Brenda Carlene Low, 83, passed away on September 7, 2024, at Grayson Court in Denison, surrounded by her family.
Brenda was born in Sherman, Texas on November 11, 1940. She is the oldest of Carlisle Bryant Ball and Lillie Mae Ball.
Brenda grew up and attended school in Tom Bean, where she played basketball, and graduated in 1959.
She married the love of her life, Lynn Howard Low, on July 24, 1959, in Sherman, Texas, where they began their life together.
In 1964, Brenda and Lynn moved to Seagoville, Texas, for Lynn's job at Gibson's Corporate Offices. Due to the health of Brenda and Lynn's fathers, they moved back to Sherman, with their children in 1985, and shortly thereafter opened the family business, Gardenland Nursery, where Brenda had 'Brenda's Corner,' creating floral designs. After 21 years of working side by side, Brenda and Lynn retired to the 'farm,' where Brenda enjoyed gardening, yard work, planting and growing flowers, canning from the garden, cooking her family's favorite foods, making banana pudding and other goodies for the boys at the firehouse, decorating her home for the holidays - Christmas was her favorite, and above all, enjoying the countless visits from her children, grandchildren, and friends.
Brenda and Lynn spent many years creating the 'Park,' as it was called, where they spent a good deal of time enjoying sunsets and God's amazing countryside. Their love for entertaining at the farm included the Annual Barbeques for family and friends, along with events for the Parkview Youth Group.
Brenda was a member of the Parkview Church of Christ, where she taught Bible classes, created floral arrangements and decorated for church events, and worked in the clothing room for many years.
In January 2024, Brenda moved from the 'farm' to Grayson Court in Denison, where she continued her love for nurturing indoor plants and flowers, tended to the courtyard garden, made new friends, and enjoyed outdoor walks.
Brenda is survived by her three daughters and one son, Candace Galbraith of Carrollton, Teresa Renfro of Aubrey, and Russ Renfro of Aubrey, Shelly Hart and husband Jon of Waxahachie, Brad Low and wife Tammy of Tom Bean; four grandchildren, Jennifer Renfro, Trevor Renfro and wife Alex, Hayden Low and Aly Low; brother Mike Ball and wife Sharon of Sherman; and many extended family members and loved friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Howard Low; her parents, Carlisle Bryant Ball and Lillie Mae Ball.
Brenda's family would like to thank the staff at Grayson Court, who are the most precious of care takers. They loved 'Ms' Brenda, and she loved them right back. There are no words for the wonderful care and love they bestowed on her while living there.
