Byron Truglio, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Sherman, Texas, on Saturday, October 26, 2024. Born on October 1, 1947, he was the eldest son of Anthony Truglio and Ruth Isbell. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Byron served in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. Following his service, he had a distinguished career with the FDA, retiring in 2011. After retiring, he moved to Texas to be closer to his family.
Byron had a passion for woodworking and restoring antique furniture, and he cherished spending time with his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Ruth Truglio; his sister, Rene Truglio; and his niece, Stacey Grimm.
He is survived by his brother, Joe Truglio; his sister, Gina Greene; and his three daughters, Renee McAtee (Dan), Jessica Truglio, and Kristina White (Todd). He also leaves behind his grandson, Jacob McAtee (Lonna); granddaughters, Joseline Perkins (Blake), Madison Moblo (Bailey), and Molly White; grandson, Jack White; and six great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Byron's wishes, his ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or True Options Pregnancy Center.
