Carmen Johnson was born on March 18, 1934 in Tumbala Chiapas Mexico. Her father started two coffee plantations and her parents were Stanford Morrison and Elodia Trejo. They married in 1910. Mom grew up on the coffee plantation until around 18 years and had 8 brothers and sisters, Harrison, Stanford, David, Rebecca, Mary, Margarita, Lolita, and Blanca. She attended Catholic school.

Carmen came to Dallas, Texas when she was 19 and met James L. Johnson and they were married in 1957 and were married for 61 years, had 3 kids, Shari, Theresa, Tony and his wife Emily. Carmen worked in Real Estate for 30 years. James worked for GM for 30 years.

They enjoyed vacations in Mexico, Mariachi music and good Mexican food. They enjoyed dancing, country western and square dancing later in life. Carmen always enjoyed family celebrations and going to Church. Carmen has one grandson Uriah Speight with his wife Kathi and one great grandchild Chevele. Carmen was a really great mother, caring and easy to talk to. She will always be a sweet memory of a really good person.
