IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol Ann
Moore
July 15, 1944 – January 31, 2023
Carol Ann Moore was called home to be with her Savior on January 31, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with her health. Carol was 78 years old.
Carol was born on July 15, 1944, at Perrin Air Force Base to Edward O. Webb, a major in the USAF, and Ann L. Webb. She was raised in Gunter, Texas by her four loving aunts- Annie Schumacher, Emma Schumacher, Josephine Schumacher, and Louise Schumacher. In Gunter is where she also met her high school sweetheart and husband of almost 59 years, Robert W. Moore (Bob). Through this union, they were blessed with one daughter, Kim, who Carol and Bob loved and treasured. Kim and her husband Justin Wright of Tomball blessed Carol and Bob with a beautiful granddaughter named Kaitlyn Grace, who they cherished with all of their hearts. Kaitlyn adored her Nana and their special bond.
Carol never met a stranger and made many dear friends over her long career in banking. She worked for Banc of Texas, Texoma National Bank, Grayson Bank, American Bank, and the First National Bank of Tom Bean during her career. In her early years she took part in many bowling leagues and enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends. She had a green thumb and loved planting flowers. She also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds on her back porch.
Carol is survived by her husband, daughter, granddaughter and son in law; sister Cheri Webb, niece Dana Martinez, her husband Justin, their four children Delaney, Carson, Macy, and Samuel; her cousin Janet Copeland of White Oak Texas, her husband Glenn, their three children Clay Copeland, Shelby Skeen, Scott Copeland, and their spouses along with their 10 grandchildren; many cousins in Oklahoma and Kansas, and a host of friends from her time in banking in Sherman and at the Tom Bean First National Bank.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother and father; the four cherished aunts that raised her; and her aunt Dorothy Reast and uncle L.E. Reast.
Visitation for friends and family will be held at Waldo Funeral home on Friday, February 3rd from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 4th, at West Hill Cemetery mausoleum in Sherman, Texas at 10:00 a.m.
