Obituary

Carol Lynne Scribner

June 25, 1957 - August 14, 2023

It is with immense grief that we announce the passing of a beloved wife, mother, and "Nanny".

Carol Lynne Scribner went to sleep and woke up in the arms of her Savior on August 14th. Her death was unexpected and leaves us all heartbroken. However, we know she is rejoicing in Heaven with Jesus.

Her friends and family are invited to a visitation service on Saturday, August 19th from 3-5 pm at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, TX. The funeral service will be Sunday, August 20th at 2 pm at Waldo Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at Stoney Point Cemetery in Anna, Texas where she will be laid to rest.

Carol was born to Bobby and Anne Benbow on June 25, 1957 in Shreveport, LA. She grew up in Texarkana, TX and had her mother as one of her teachers. She was a cheerleader and remained close with many of her high school friends. Carol married Billy Jack Scribner on September 24, 1983 in Van Alstyne, TX at the First Christian Church. They would have celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this year and she was the love of his life. Together they grew a beautiful family and share 4 children, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Carol was a respiratory therapist with over 30 years before she retired in 2020. She loved spending time with her friends and family at the lake, but most of all, she loved being a Nanny to her grandbabies. She devoted her life to her grandchildren watching them participate in sports from Pre-K to college. She loved taking them for rides on her golf cart and out on the boat. She enjoyed spending her retirement traveling with friends and loved her Florida time.

Carol joins her parents, Bobby and Anne Benbow, in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, Billy Jack Scribner, her brothers, Bryan and Bryce Benbow, her children, Meranda Taylor, Cody Scribner, Brandi Roberson and Clint Scribner, and her grandchildren, Myles, Rylee, Parx, Jared, Kenzie, Eurik, Evie, Eivin, Christian, Kye, Luke, Levi, Jackson and Josie, and her great grandchildren, Knight, Blair, Billie, Judd, and Emmie and countless friends and family members.

Carol always looked her best and never left her lipstick behind. She will be truly missed and always remembered. We love you, Mom.

"See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared." Exodus
