In Loving Memory of Cary Seth Babin
October 7, 1982 – January 18, 2026
It is with shattered hearts and profound love that the family of Cary Seth Babin announces his passing on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Sherman, Texas. At just 43 years old, Cary left us far too soon, leaving behind a void that can never be filled, but a legacy of laughter that will never be forgotten.
Born on October 7, 1982, in Denison, Texas, to Mark and Regina Babin, Cary was a proud 2001 graduate of Denison High School. He spent his teenage years filled with the music of the saxophone and the thrill of the marching band. He completed his academic journey at Grayson College, where he became known for his skill at the pool table and his easy, approachable nature.
Cary was a lifelong car enthusiast and a gifted mechanic who possessed an impressive, intuitive brilliance for how things worked. While he could tackle any engine repair, he found his true calling in the complexities of electrical work—a challenge he loved most of all. Because of his talent and his generous spirit, friends and family always knew where to go for help with their projects. To Cary, there was nothing he couldn't fix.
To know Cary was to know his love for the water and his unwavering loyalty to the Dallas Cowboys. A true bass fishing enthusiast, Cary was his truest self when he was on the lake, casting a line into the stillness of the morning. But his greatest gift wasn't found on the water; it was his ability to lift the spirits of everyone around him. With a quick wit and a legendary sense of humor, Cary had a rare magic—he could make you smile even on your darkest, hardest days.
While Cary loved the lake, his world revolved around his family. He was the devoted spouse of Christine, and a father whose heart belonged entirely to his boys. His son, Cooper, and his stepsons were the absolute pride and joy of his life. Everything he did, he did for them.
Cary was greeted in heaven by those who went before him: his grandparents, Daniel and Joan Babin, Billye Aimo, and John Aimo.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by the love of his life, Christine; his beloved son, Cooper; his stepsons; his parents, Mark and Regina; his sister, Crystal; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss his laugh every single day.
The family is inviting friends and loved ones to share stories and memories on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Waldo Funeral Home.
