In Loving Memory of Charles Bowden, who passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10th. He was with his wife and later with his mom.

Charles was born on 01-09-1969 in Sherman. He lived a great life and was a friend to so many people.  His closest people were his wife, Debbie; his mom, Bernetha; his lifelong friend, James and his dog Jack. Charles never met a stranger, and his smile would light up a room.

He went to Sherman High School and was part of the Class of 1987!

Charles is survived by his wife Debbie, his mom Bernetha, his uncle and aunt, CW and Adrian, his brother Kevin, his sisters Ashley, Lauren and Bianca, his son Keaton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his Dad, Garvin Sr.; and his grandfather and grandmother Willie and Annie B Wright.

Charles did not want a service or a viewing, so we are honoring his wishes. If you would like to honor Charles, please make a donation to St. Jude's or the Texas Kidney Foundation.

Charles received his new kidneys and new lease on life in August of 2015. He was so proud to have two infant kidneys that gave him renewed life.  One of his favorite things he did after receiving his kidneys was travelling to California and seeing the sites in San Diego and San Francisco. He woke up each morning and thanked Jesus for his kidneys.  He loved Jesus and talked to him every day. He's up in heaven building his mansion.

Charles loved his grandkids: Kaylee, MaeLeigh, Lucy, Zoe and Sophia.  He always looked forward to the cards and notes they made for him. They had a lot of fun, hilarious talks sitting at the kitchen table. His talks with Lindsey and Matt and Zach and Lillie were always fun and sometimes deep.

Charles was a true pioneer and founder of The Northside Family.  Black Jesus and
