Charmaine Marie Jacobsen, of Sherman, Texas, passed away September 20, 2026 at age 66; surrounded by the love she carried with her throughout her life. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Charmaine was a strong-willed, loving woman whose presence filled the room. She loved hard, laughed loud, and had a beautiful, generous heart.

Charmaine was a devoted mother to her children, Michael “Tony” “Jake” Jacobsen and Rayna Jacobsen, and a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Acadia Gautreau. Her family was at the center of her world, and the love she gave them will remain a lasting part of their lives.

A woman of many talents, Charmaine found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. She was an avid gardener who took pride in watching things grow, an accomplished artist who enjoyed sketching and oil painting, and a talented crocheter. She also had a special gift for baking, bringing warmth and happiness to others through the things she created.

Charmaine will be remembered for her fierce spirit, her creativity, her laughter, and above all, her capacity to love. She was not a quiet presence in this world. She lived with passion, loved deeply, and left an impression on the people fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her children, Michael “Tony” “Jake” Jacobsen and Rayna Jacobsen, and her beloved granddaughter, Acadia Gautreau, her sisters Catherine Mogan, Cindy Mulkey, Christine Zeiser, and Constance Breaux, her brother Charles Zeiser, and several nieces and nephews.

Though she is no longer with us, the love she gave, the things she created, the laughter she shared, and the memories she made will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
