Cheryl Jeanette Cowart, age 79, passed away on January 20, 2024 in Denison, Texas.

She was born on June 29, 1944 the daughter of Harry Edward Underwood and Foy (Flurry) Underwood.

She married Johnie Cowart on December 7, 1962. He preceded her on May 4, 2007.

Cheryl is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl "Lynn" Sakowski and Sheila Preece, 15 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother-in-law Billy Cowart, sister-in- law Barbara McCaughey and daughter-in- law Elaine Cowart. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Johnny "Dean" Cowart, two sisters Ima "Sue" Hazard and Lawanna Nelson.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 26th at the Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Holloway Cemetery in Luella, Texas.
