Christine Zager Coley passed away quietly in her home in Plano, Texas on Friday, February 7, 2025.  She is preceded in death by her parents Justin A. Zager and Mary K. Zager and her husband of 36 years Stephen Coley.  She is survived by her twin sister Cathleen Zager, her brother Dr. Michael J. Zager and wife Cynthia Zager, her brother Joseph P. Zager and his wife Debra Zager, her sister Vera Ann Fogle and her husband Ken Fogle, her sister-in-law Loraine Hufford and her husband David Hufford, and many nieces and nephews.

A native of Buffalo, NY, Chris grew up in Griffin, Georgia and always considered herself a southern girl.  She moved to Texas in the early 1980s where she met Steve.  They married in 1989.  She and her husband Steve shared a tremendous love of animals, rescuing many dogs and cats over the years.  Chris also loved to garden, studied horticulture, and was active in the local calligraphy community.   Chris was retired from Edward Jones, where she had a successful career for 12 years.

The world is an emptier place in the absence of her kind heart and tender soul, but her legacy of love, compassion, and faithfulness will serve as an example for many.

A celebration of life will be held on March 22, 2025 at 1pm at Waldo Funeral Home.
