Claude Dean Fine, 91, of Sachse, Tx, formerly of Sherman, TX, departed from this life June 25, 2024.

He was born October 1, 1932, in Caney, Kansas to Jessie Carter and Oakle Fine. Claude graduated from Charles Page High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

He joined the United States Army and proudly served his country from 1950 through 1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was a Shop Forman for the National Tank Company which later became Combustion Engineering NATCO for over 30 years.

He married Melva Collins in April 1954 in Sand Springs, OK. They were happily married for over 67 years. They enjoyed traveling with friends from Church. A couple of favorite trips of theirs was when they vacationed in Hawaii with friends, and another was a cruise to Alaska.

Claude enjoyed playing games with friends, family and reading the Bible. He served as a Deacon and then as an Elder at the Church of Christ in Mannford, OK.

To be closer to their family Claude and Melva moved to Sherman, TX in June 1998. He was a passionate Christian, very proud of his family, and a lifelong Packers fan.

Claude was preceded in death by wife Melva and son Grant David Fine.

He is survived by sons Gary and daughter-in-law Darleah of Garland, TX and Jeff and daughter-in-law Michele of Rowlett, TX and granddaughters Amanda and husband Caleb, Monika and Courtney and great granddaughters Kylie and Kiera.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am, Friday, June 28th, 2024, at Friendship Cemetery in Sherman. Ken Mullins will officiate, and a military honor guard will give honors.
