Cole Allen Castilaw passed from this life on November 06, 2025, in Midlothian, TX.
Cole was born on November 03, 1998, in Sherman, TX. He was the son of Timothy P. and Shellene K. Castilaw. He was a 2018 graduate from Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, Missouri. He attended the University of Central Missouri and Northwest Missouri State University.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Mortarman and achieved the rank of Corporal. After his service, he attended college while he worked at Texana Bank in Keller as a bank teller.
He enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching, and hiking. Cole had a compassionate and caring heart. He would carry thermal blankets in his car to give to homeless people. He held Psalms 23 closely and found assurance and comfort through God's eternally abiding word.
Cole was preceded in death by his sister, Muriel Thornton, grandparents, Grover and Bettye Castilaw, grandmother, Mary Deberry, and a cousin, Stephen Whiddon
He is survived by his parents, Timothy and Shellene Castilaw of Midlothian, TX, fiancée, Victoria Kunselman of Roanoke, TX, sister, Kristle Thornton and her husband Lorenzo Morales of Concord, NC, brother, Thomas Castilaw and his wife, Rebecca of Bloomsdale, MO, sister, Elaine Stanford and her husband Gavin of Durant, OK, brother, Jonathan Castilaw and his wife Maddison of Argyle, TX, grandfather, Billy Jack Deberry of Sherman, nieces, Annie Parchman, Kinley Castilaw, Tessa Castilaw, Grace Miller, nephews, Rylan Castilaw, Logan Castilaw, and his beloved K9 companion, Charlie.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13th, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, at Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman, TX.
A military honors graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Thursday, November 13th, in the outdoor chapel of West Hill Cemetery in Sherman, TX
Rev. Brian Taylor of Forest Avenue Baptist Church will officiate. Pallbearers will be Nicholas Blanco, Tyler Whitehead, Dylan Warax, Collin Emory, Zachary Eye, and Braden Riffle.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to your local Homeless Shelter.
