Connie Elaine McKinney was born January 14, 1955, in Sherman, Texas to Joe and Peggy McKinney, and entered into eternal peace August 30, 2025 at the age of 70.

Connie was a lifelong resident of Sherman and graduated from Sherman High School in 1973. After high school, she worked for Texas Instruments, the Safeway plant in Denison, and later for Sherman Independent School District. Connie had a great love of the outdoors. She loved fishing and camping and her favorite places to be were at Blue River in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Glacier National Park in Montana.

She was proceeded in death by both of her parents.

Connie is survived by her brother, Scott McKinney of Denison, and sister, Kelly McKinney Hollensed of Sherman, nieces, Heather Rexrode of Sherman, Kelsey Simmons and husband Curt of Sherman; nephew Zach McKinney and wife Madison of Sherman; niece Addison Hollensed of Los Angeles, CA, and her long time friend/sister Lee Ann Starnes of Austin, TX. Connie was also "Nonnie" to Lee Ann's daughters and grandchildren.  She is also survived by several cousins, 2 great nephews and 3 great nieces.
