A life of great service ended on Sunday, November 18, 2007, with the passing of Constance Bedard Wyatt at Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. Services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at Parkview Church of Christ, 815 Dewey Avenue, Sherman, Texas. Conducting the service will be Welton Stoker. Clinton Davis will serve as song director. Pallbearers will be Jacob Tesney, Tevin Daniels, Jeff Tesney, Jimmy Giles, Cirinthian Patterson and Bruce Washington. Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of Parkview Church of Christ.
Born October 19, 1931 in Dedham, Massachusetts to Lewis A. and Gladys Downs Bedard, Connie grew up in Massachusetts, Florida and Michigan. She enlisted in the US Navy and served in the USN WAVES as a Communications Tech 3rd Class from 1951 to 1953. While serving in San Diego, Connie met Billy J. Wyatt of Whitesboro, whom she later married on July 29, 1953, in the Submarine Base Chapel at Pearl Harbor. After their separation from the Navy, Connie and Bill came to Sherman to raise their family. Connie later went to work as an etcher in the Bi Polar I Wafer Fab Division at Texas Instruments and retired in 1990 after 25 years of service.
A hard worker who loved nothing more than serving Christ through her service to others, Connie will be deeply missed by her immediate family and her family at Parkview Church of Christ, where she worshipped and served for over thirty years.
Preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John Bedard, Edward Bedard, Franklin Bedard and Lewis ?Buddy? Bedard, Mrs. Wyatt is survived by her husband Bill, of fifty four years, a son Dennis Wyatt of Pottsboro and daughters Linda Wyatt Fleming of Dallas and Terrie Wyatt Billy of Plano. Also surviving Connie are grandsons Justin Wyatt of Bedford, Aaron Fleming and wife Sarah of Plano, Kyle Fleming of Denison and Bradley Billy and wife Tammie of Denison. Extra special girls who lit up ?Mawmaw? Connie's life are granddaughter Laci Billy of Plano and great-granddaughter Riley Fleming also of Plano. Other family members who remain to cherish Connie's memory are brothers Charles Bedard and wife Janie and Victor Bedard and wife Sandy all of Massachusetts and sisters Gladys Mathieu and husband Len of North Carolina, Pricilla Bandoni of Rhode Island and Gloria Robbins of Michigan. Numerous nieces and nephews also have many fond memories of Aunt Connie.
The family will receive visitors at Waldo Funeral Home, 619 North Travis Street, Sherman on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and at other times at 805 South Burdette Avenue, Sherman.
