Dan Hayden, Jr came into the world on June 6, 1936, to Dan Hayden, Sr and Christine Whitney. Dan grew up in Sherman, TX and graduated from Fred Douglas High School.

Shortly after graduation, Dan enlisted into the United States Army, where he served his country proudly. After completing his duty in the military, Dan returned to Sherman and married Eddie Mae Hayden.  He was a loving husband and father.

Dan loved the Lord and was committed to serving the Lord and assembling at the house of the Lord every Sunday to worship the Lord faithfully at Grand Avenue Church of Christ.

After retiring from Kraft Foods, Dan spent most of his time in the company of family, friends, and his love for his pets.

On Sunday, March 10, 2024, Dan was called to be with his Lord and savior at his home. His legacy of love and commitment to his family and Christ will live on in those that were close to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and Lisa Blair (daughter).

Left with his precious memories are his daughter Tammy Hayden (Abilene TX), his beloved sons Dana Hayden (Laura) of Anna TX, Eric Hayden (Rhonda) of Sherman TX, host of lovely grandchildren, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

A public visitation will be Friday, March 15th from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 16th at 11 A.M. at the Pavilion in West Hill Cemetery, 1304 W. Lamar St. Sherman with Bro. C.E. Shaw officiating.  Burial will follow in the Veterans Garden.
