Obituary

Danny "Dan the Man" Thomas was born on November 1, 1948, to Marvin C and Eotha Erma Thomas. Dan was the oldest of nine children. Early in his life he accepted Christ in his life and belongs to the Church of Christ. He always was one to direct a person to the word of God for the right answers.

Dan was a Terrell High school graduate in Denison, Texas. He also attended Grayson County College. He later served our country in the Vietnam War from 1968-1972. He married Rochelle Ross in 1979, together they had 5 sons.

Dan worked at Anderson Grain Co. for several years, then the Corp of Engineers in Denison, Texas. He also worked at Grayson County golf course for 20 years. Later in life he was self-employed and also had a business as a cash caber for the elderly and disabled. He did this up until the day he went to be with his Heavenly Father. Danny was a father and a big brother doing things that needed to be done, making sacrifices, and working toward gaining the respect he deserved as a son, brother, father and friend. At the end of his life, he achieved that and then some.

Dan leaves his legacy to his 6 sons, Eric Ross and wife Brooke and daughters Kaydence, Josie and Khloe, Danny Ross and his children Jaylynn, Mariah, Naomi, Carter and Donavan. Brian Thomas and his sons Dequante, Jahmahri and Tequan James Thomas and his two daughters Averee and Shayla. His youngest boys Andre Thomas and Juan Piescina. Dan's siblings Emmett Charles, Terry Joe, Doris Ward, Teresa Baker, Konta Johnson. He also has 2 great grandchildren Zarron and Ky'za and many nieces and nephews.
