David Ross Armstrong was born April 22, 1948, in Honey Grove, Texas. In the Navy, he was a radio operator during Vietnam and loved his country. David never knew a stranger and was the kind of man who was there in a time of need, and he paid no mind to what others thought. His laughter was contagious and sure knew how to tell a good story. He had a fondness for movies but especially for old spaghetti westerns. He had a passion for Harley's and feeling the wind in his hair and loved an ice-cold beer. He enjoyed playing cards and Farkle with loved ones and you could find him on occasion taking a mulligan at the local courses. Above all things, he loved his family with everything he had and, in the end, accepted Jesus as his savior. He passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.

David is survived by his loving wife Shirley Armstrong of Pottsboro, TX; sister, Becky Moore and her husband Wayne of Savoy, TX, brother, Gerold Foster of Denison, TX ; Children: David Armstrong of Garland, TX, Jessica Armstrong Quine and husband Alexander of Oakland, CA, Brittany Willgues and husband Ricky of Colorado Springs, CO, Tatia Richard and husband John of Walker, LA; Grandchildren: Lillian, Paisley, Oliver, Brynlee, Bethany, Candace and Lacey; Great Grandchildren: Victoria, Elizabeth, Ella, Christina, Madeleine, William and Nora.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde Armstrong and Francis Cornette; Brothers: JD Armstrong, Clyde Armstrong and Billy Armstrong; and Sisters: Paula Ibry and Kathy Sams.
