David Chris Mickelson passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas.

He was born on September 5, 1958, in Andrews, Texas to Edward Chris Mickelson and Barbara Ann Garren-Mickelson.

David was an engineer until he became disabled, after which he found solace and joy in carpentry and woodworking. He had a passion for playing the guitar and cherished spending time with his best friend/brother John Searfoss (Bubba).

He is survived by his daughters, Christy Jolly- Garcia and husband Mark of Brownsville, Texas and Reta Latham and husband Travis of Sadler, Tx, son, C.J. Mickelson and wife Marlena of Howe, Texas, grandchildren, Nathan and Taylor Jolly, Natalie Jolly- Watson, Leah and Mark Raber, Joshua and Jackson Metcalf, Zachary and Shyann Latham, Nicholas and Megan Latham, Christian Mickelson, and Elliot Mickelson, brother Edward and wife Misty Mickelson, sister, Sarah Lyons, 5 nieces and nephews, and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Edward Mickelson, and great granddaughter Kenzie Lynn Jolly.

A public visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Waldo Funeral Home.
