David Wayne Shaw "Paw" age 86 of Sherman, Texas passed June 1, 2024, at his residence.

David was born February 15, 1938, in Randolph, Texas to Ervin Shaw and Olga (Davis) Shaw.  He married his wife Betty Lou Shelley on July 9, 1957, in Sherman.

He was of the Baptist faith and was a loving man to his family.  He enjoyed auctions, cars and the Texas Rangers.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty Lou; his daughter-in-love Paula Jean; and sisters Gladys Bradshaw, Faye Owens, Jeane Fuller and Doris McKinney.

He is survived by his son David Lynn Shaw of Sherman; daughter Sharon Henry and husband Otis Henry of Bells; grandchildren Michael Shaw and wife Patti Shaw, Melissa Shaw, Makayla Shaw, Sparky Henry, Kenny Henry and Amanda Jackson; great grandchildren Gianna, Isabelle, Landon, Walker, Avery, Cory, Kayla, Parker, Pierce and Liam; and sister Connie Beale.

A visitation will be Wednesday June 5th at Waldo Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00PM.  A funeral will be held at West Hill Cemetery Pavilion on Thursday, June 5th at 10:00AM with Rev. Brian Taylor, of Forest Avenue Baptist Church, officiating.

Special thanks to PromiseLand for prayers and support.  David was a loving man and was strong to the end.  He has run the race and finished the course.  A crown is waiting for him.
