Have you ever known someone who brought joy to everyone around them? Someone who was instantly best friends with everyone? That was Debbie. Everyone loved her. She was everyone's mama.

She was born as Deborah Sue Bailey in Comanche County, Texas on June 10, 1953. However, she only answered to Debbie. She lived and loved hard and lived life to the fullest. She had a wicked sense of humor and kept everything because it all had a memory and a story. She loved nostalgic Coca-Cola memorabilia and the color purple. She never left the house without being fully dressed and having at least 2 cups of coffee.

Her free time was spent making amazing projects, including quilts and crocheted goodies. Everyone she loved was showered with handmade gifts. Her heart was incredibly generous, and she was so much better at giving than receiving.

She loved God and family. Her favorite tiny humans were her two granddaughters, Sasha and Astrid Catterson. She loved them with all her heart and spent hours doing arts and crafts with them. She was never too busy to play paper dolls or Puppy Dog Pals. They watched cartoons and played outside and loved baking together.

Her daughters Carmen Daniele Catterson and Amanda Mims and husband David Mims knew she was their world. Her death has left a hole that will never be filled.

She left this world a darker place on August 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by one brother, her parents and one daughter. She is survived by her husband, daughters, daughter in law Jennifer Catterson, granddaughters, sister, brother, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A memorial service was held on September 3, 2021 at Allen's Point Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her honor to St Jude's Hospital for children.
