Deidra Johnson age 47, of Paris, Texas, formerly of Sherman, ascended to her eternal home Saturday, April 26th at Medical City Hospital in Plano following a short illness.

Deidra Johnson was born June 3, 1977, in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Emanuel Jr. and Donna Johnson.  She grew up and attended Sherman Public Schools and Grayson County College.  She was employed at West Asset for 15 years.  Deidra was united with Bethel Community Baptist Church in Denison.

She moved to Paris, Texas with an outgoing personality, loved her children and grandchildren.  She was married to Jerry Duty.

Deidra was preceded in death by her grandmother Darline Waddles, and her mother Donna Johnson and grandparents Amy and Emanuel Johnson Sr.

She is survived by her loving family; father Emanuel (Charlene) Johnson Jr., sisters Valerie Robinson and Laqueta Wilson, daughter Monasiah and husband Justin Singleton of Paris, Texas, sons Antionio Carr, Terrion Brown, Messiah (Lizeth) Harris all of Sherman, three granddaughters, and a host of nieces and extended family.

A public visitation will be Friday, May 2nd from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Waldo Funeral Home with family present to receive guests.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 3rd at 11 A.M. at Waldo Funeral Chapel with Rev. Michael Braxton officiating.

Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
