Obituary

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Don Bullington, 90, of Sherman, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 2, 2012 in Waldo Funeral Home chapel with Rev. David Gilbert and Rev. Larry Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at Waldo Funeral Home.

Don was born February 21, 1922 in Washington State to Garland and Edna (Skyring) Bullington and went to his eternal home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from Webster, Texas. Don served in the U.S. Navy, as an Enlisted Fighter Pilot and before the end of World War II he had been promoted to the rank of LCDR. He was wounded at Pearl Harbor and awarded a second Purple Heart for wounds received during Air Combat in the Pacific. He was very proud of his service.

Don married Bobbie Vance on April 4, 1973 in Ft. Worth with almost thirty nine years of marriage. Don was a salesman for Moen Faucets for many years until his retirement. He and Bobbie are members of Truth Tabernacle and he was very active with the Christian Motorcycle Association. Don helped found and stayed involved with "On the Road" prison ministry and the Juvenile Detention in Gainesville. He had a Bonanza plane that he flew for thirty years until health issues wouldn't allow him to fly.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie, of the Sherman home, sons, Roger Harris of Canby, OR, Gary Harris of Banks, OR, David Tullos of Plano, and Steve Tullos of McKinney, daughters, Donna Carlton of Hermiston, OR, Jane McLain of Flower Mound, and Sue Borgeson of Pearland, nineteen grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ryan McLain, Jason Ford, Matthew Alves, John D. Borgeson and Daniel Borgeson.

Military rites will be performed at the gravesite.
