Funeral Services for Donny Wooten, age 80, of Whitesboro, Tx will be held at 2pm on June 26, 2026, at Southmayd Baptist Church, 4503 Elementary Dr Southmayd Tx, 76268, under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Macomb Cemetery. Donny passed away on the day of his 59th anniversary of marriage to Judy Wooten, June 24th, 2026.

Donny was born Dec 10th, 1945, the youngest son of Onus and Alta Wooten. Donny was a loyal friend and car enthusiast who only ever planned to go and not stop. He loved his animals, who he kept finding despite his wife Judy’s best efforts, and his knowledge of engine timing was rivaled only by his knowledge of End Times. Most of all he loved the Lord Jesus and his family and wanted everyone else to do the same.

Donny is preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, and three sisters.

Donny is survived by his loving wife Judy McKnight Wooten, children Donna Burk and husband John, Donald Wayne Wooten and wife Robin, Colby Wooten and wife Brittany, grandchildren Hallie Bowyer and husband Brian, Jonathan Burk and wife Mackenzie, Zane Burk and wife Susan, Michael Burk, Hunter Wooten, Cadence Wooten, Fischer Wooten, and Adeline Wooten, great grandchildren Ken and Evelyn Burk, several nieces and nephews, and sister Helen Morgan.

Pallbearers will be Craig Phillips, Justin McGarry, Bebo Chandler, Mark Kays, Brandon White, Kevin Powers, and Terry Cox.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Art Howard.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm until on Friday June 26th, at Southmayd Baptist Church with funeral services beginning at 2pm.
