Don Hassinger, 75, a long-time resident of Tom Bean, TX, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Don is survived by his loving wife Marie, whom he married in 1985, and his son Christopher, brother Russell (Sherry) Hassinger, and sister Debra Wilson.  He will also be lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law, Luba Huntress, as well as 19 nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his sisters Darlene (Robert) Lyons, Beverly (Richard) Hunt, and Patricia (Dennis) Roberson.

Don was born to parents Russell Hassinger and Frances (Austin) Hassinger in 1947. After graduating Harlem High School, he went on to DeVry University in Chicago, where he got his degree in telecommunications. Uncle Sam and the US Army then stepped in to further enhance his life skills with an extended visit overseas. Once back home, he enjoyed a long and successful career in the telecom world. His sense of humor was prevalent throughout his life. He pursued a few hobbies, including baking the most delicious bread, spending time on his computers, and he was an avid ham radio enthusiast. He loved dogs, once having 6 at a time, and he tolerated one ornery cat.

In keeping with the wishes of Don Hassinger and family, there will be no funeral services.
