Obituary

In Loving Memory of Donald Lee Pratt Jr.

February 18, 1973 – August 16, 2026

Donald ‘Donnie’ Lee Pratt Jr., age 53, of Kimball, Nebraska, passed away on August 16, 2026.

Donnie walked some troubled roads throughout his life, but beneath it all was a heart of gold. He loved his family more than anything in this world and would do whatever he could to help the people he loved. He had a gentle, giving spirit and wanted nothing more than to please his family.

Donnie loved being outdoors, especially fishing, and enjoyed spending time surrounded by his family. He loved attending family BBQs—even if he wasn't necessarily the greatest cook! He enjoyed music and had an incredible artistic ability. He could freehand just about anything you asked him to draw, creating things with a talent that came naturally to him.

One of the things Donnie loved most was being around his great-nieces and great-nephews. He was truly a kid at heart and loved playing sports and being the “bull” in their backyard rodeos. One of his great-nieces lovingly gave him the nickname “Unky Donkey,” a name he secretly loved and carried with pride.

The last seven months of Donnie’s life were especially meaningful. He gave himself to the Lord and became a loving son and brother, reconnecting with and giving himself fully to the family he loved so dearly. Those months brought precious memories that his family will carry with them forever.

Donnie is survived by his father, Donald Pratt Sr.; his sister, Denise McKinney and her husband Scott McKinney; his brother-in-law, Larry Green; and his son, Sayden Pratt; half sister, Natasha Frazier; his aunt, Sharon Taylor; his uncles, Terry Taylor and Tommy Taylor; and his numerous nieces and nephews, He also leaves behind many beloved great-nieces, great-nephews, along with a host of other loving family members and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dawn Williams; stepmother, Pamela Pratt; stepfather, Bobby Williams; sisters, Lesa Pratt and Dayna Green; and other loved ones who welcomed him home.

Donnie may have walked a difficult road, but he never stopped loving his family. His laughter, artistic spirit, love of the outdoors, and playful heart will live on in the memories of everyone who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Fly high, little brother, until we meet again.

You will forever be in our hearts.
