Donnie, age 72, passed away the 5th of August, 2019 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. He was born in Davis, Oklahoma to Preach and Peggy Carter. Donnie was a member of Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Sherman. He was a retired machinist, and loved travelling and fishing.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Lela Carter, sons, Kyle and Wyatt Carter; Step-daughters: Donna Chabot McDaniel and husband; Adrian McDaniel of Moore, Ok; Alisha Reynolds of Durant, Ok; Carie Gann and husband, Kelly Gann of Howe Tx; Sara Mullins of Denison, Tx; and step-son, Jeremy Reynolds of Lovelady, Tx. Donnie also is survived by a brother, David Carter and wife, Betty Carter of Healdton, Ok; and a sister Wilma Poole and husband, Lewis Poole of Moore, Ok. There are ten step grandchildren and two great step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Chad Guthrie and the professionals of Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman, Tx. Family viewing is to be held at Waldo Funeral Home Thursday, August 8th between 6:00-8:00 pm, and also at the Hennepin United Pentecostal Church at 10:00 am on Friday, August 9th.

Following will be a Memorial service at 11:00 am with Rev. Ronnie Carroll of Marietta, Ok; Rev. Lewis Poole of Moore, Ok; and Rev. Irvin Lewis of Sherman, TX.

Interment will be at the Hennepin Cemetery, also known as Eight Mile Cemetery, following the Memorial Service.
