Doris Evelyon Mitchell, born to Fred and Ida (Finley)Mitchell, June 14,1933, in Corsicana, TX, went to her reward August 5, 2024.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Bobby Mitchell.

Doris is survived by their three children,2 sons, Dennis and his wife Ann Mitchell from Rowlett, TX, Doyle and his wife Mary Mitchell from Mount Airy, NC, a daughter, Sherry and husband Max Lash from Sherman, TX.

There are 10 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris graduated from Columbia high school. She married Bobby Talford Mitchell. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

During her career, she worked in several fields, including school administration and medical records. After retirement, she and Bobby became Sojourners.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday August 9, 2024, at Waldo Funeral Home in Sherman.

An Interment service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Liberty Hill cemetery Dawson Tx.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Mitchell, Jeremy Smith, Vance Cole, Isaac Lash, Larry Reeves and Max Lash. Jackson Smith will be an honorary pallbearer.
