Dorothy Drake, loving mother of Rebekah Drake Millier and member of North Park Baptist Church, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 2, 2023, at the age of 88. She has gone to be with Jesus and be reunited with loved ones who have gone before her.

Dorothy was born in Clovis, New Mexico, and grew up on farmland in New Mexico and Oklahoma. She worked as an administrative assistant for various oil companies, including Warren Petroleum, Chevron, Apache Oil, Gulf, and Kenner Oil. Her dedication to her work was always evident, and she was known for her professionalism and strong work ethic.

Outside of work, Dorothy had a passion for praying over her kids, grandkids, great grandkids and the students at Texoma Christian School, church family as well as anyone she met.

She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed playing the piano and would use music to lift prayers to God for people. She loved her friends at North Park Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Dorothy was an avid Sooner fan as well as watching Monday Night football, the Mavericks, her Grandkids sports and Texoma Christian School athletics.

Dorothy's legacy of being a prayer warrior and devotion to God will be remembered by all who knew her.

Her favorite verses were Psalms 23, Philippians 4:8, Psalms 51:10.

She was known to never forget birthdays by sending cards and phone calls.

She is survived by her sister Joyce Williams of Checotah, Ok. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Rebekah, son-in-law Randy, her grandchildren Drake Luke Callie and Rebekah, and six great grandkids Eleanor, Elizabeth, Cohen, Jovee, Axel, Rocco, her friends at North Park Baptist Church, and her extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at North Park Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at 11:00 am. Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the youth of North Park Church in Dorothy's memory.
