Dorothy Louise Dupy Jones, Nanaw, of Whitesboro, Texas passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Collinsville Church of Christ. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m.-10:00a.m on Saturday, at the church. Burial will be at the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery in Waynoka, Oklahoma following the funeral.
Dorothy was born February 5, 1932 to James M. And Mabel O. Dupy. She was educated in the Waynoka, Oklahoma area and was the Valedictorian of her Senior class. On November 23, 1950 she was united in marriage to Casey Jones, a fellow classmate from 3rd grade to senior year. She was a homemaker and truly loved raising her children. Casey enlisted in the army soon after their marriage and spent four years serving their country. They moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where their oldest son, James, was born and then to Oklahoma City where their youngest son, Kirby, was born. Dorothy's favorite place was on a lake water skiing. Their family spent summers watching sunrises and sunsets on the lake. Dorothy was known for her giving heart and her desire to help others. She was a faithful Christian and taught Sunday School to children for multiple years. In 1974 the family moved to Plano, Tx where they lived until they moved to their farm in Collinsville, Texas after retirement. Dorothy loved when the grandkids spent time with them at the farm riding horses, fishing, gardening and eating her delicious meals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Casey, her siblings, and her son, James. Surviving to honor her memory are James's wife, Montine Jones, and their children, Jake Jones and wife Becca, their four children, Finley, Scout, Ike and Hobie Jones, granddaughter Grace and her husband Mark Mercer, and their children, Cooper, Ryker and Sawyer, grandson Ryan and his wife, India, and their children Elliot and Blaise. Also her son Kirby and his wife, Lynn Jones and their children, Jason and his wife Alison and their children Tristan, Maddie, Kate and Jordan, son Jay and his wife Stephanie and their children Trinity and Jagger, daughter Jenni Jones and her husband Andy, son Colton and his wife Adria and their children, Emberlynn, Eile, Elijah, Eden and Ezra.
