Dorothy Shaw 90, long time resident of Sherman, TX passed on May 1st, 2024, born to Marvin "Bill Dad" Sims and Inez McConnell Sims on March 9, 1934.  Dorothy graduated from Whitesboro High School and married John Shaw on 12-24-1955 and with this union had 3 children Debby, Terry and Gary.  Dorothy enjoyed the time she had with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren along with the joy of playing Bingo!

Dorothy is survived by her children, Debby, Terry and Gary along with her grandchildren, Randi, Jason, JT, Jenny, Emily and their families. Also surviving is her brother Glenn Dale Sims, brother-in-law Rev TM Shaw, sister-in-law Joan Shaw, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, brothers Tom Sims and Dempsey Sims and her twin sister Doris Hale.

Family visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2024, 5-7 pm at Waldo Funeral Home, graveside service Saturday May 4, 2024 at 10:00 am West Hill Cemetery South Pavilion with Rick Carney officiating.   The family request no flowers or plants, if desired in lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
