Obituary

Doug Morris went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 13,2023. His earthly body could no longer fight the complications surrounding his surgery for esophageal cancer.

Doug leaves behind his loving wife of 19 years, Eileen, and the two granddaughters they were raising, Lily and Leah. Also surviving him are his mother, Donna Morris, brother, Jeff Morris (Angela), son, Jason Morris (Kristina), stepchildren Whitney, Erinn, and Shelby Williams, grandchildren Lily and Leah Williams, Quorra and Logan Morris, Emma Smith, Anthony Williams and Madox and Ava Williams. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Morris, and daughter, Jennifer Morris. Though many miles separated Doug from most of his family, they were always close in heart and just a phone call away. He made a positive impact on many lives. Doug will be greatly missed.

Doug enjoyed raising his tomatoes, smoking meat for his family and friends, and visiting the ocean, with the Florida Keys being his favorite. His idea of a good time was watching the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds play, as he was a lifelong fan of both. What he liked best, though, was spending time with his wife, whether it was going to the grocery store, hanging around at home or going on a nice vacation. They were never far apart.

Doug worked for Texas Instruments for 29 years, starting in Tucson, AZ, before heading to the Sherman location. He even made a trip to Scotland to help set up a new process there.

Doug was very involved with benevolence at Western Heights Church of Christ, where he was a member for several years. So, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Western Heights Benevolence Fund or the charity of your choice.
